Clinical CBT Supervision

As a qualified High Intensity CBT Supervisor, I am passionate about supervision. Having worked in multiple senior roles within the NHS for many years, I have much experience supporting a diverse range of practitioners. For me, supervision is more than just a means to achieve accreditation and more than a monthly catch-up.

I offer a space that is reflective and compassionate for both your clients and you. I want to understand you as a practitioner. The initial establishment of a supervisory relationship is a step I want to nurture; I take the time to get to know you. I will send you a pre-supervision questionnaire to give you the opportunity to reflect on supervision prior to our first supervision session. Within this, you will be able to tell me about you, any specific needs you may have, what you value in supervision and what your goals are. We will then spend time contracting, setting goals, and discussing Social Graces, to ensure that any power imbalances are considered and carefully planned for. This is all to ensure that you are comfortable and will get the most out of supervision with me. As an ADHDer myself, it is important that I adapt supervision to meet your individual differences, whether you are neurodivergent or not.

Together we will work collaboratively towards your goals in a way that is totally bespoke to you. I will encourage you to bring materials to our sessions; that may include tape recordings and formulations. I will ask for regular feedback from you both verbally and through writing to give you plenty opportunity to bring up any issues you may be experiencing in supervision. I am open to feedback and will make it my priority to adapt supervision in response to your feedback. My supervisory style is best suited to those who want to progress their skills in a personal and nurturing environment with a Supervisor who will celebrate their successes as if they were their own.
